The sheer look of vellum and acrylic

Hey there, Great to see you stopping by!

The candle portion of this birthday card includes coloring transparent vellum with die ink before dry embossing and adding to a white cardstock base. Candle shadows and outline highlights are made with white pencil.  The special flames accents are done with stickles. The vellum was removed from the one brightest flame. The daffodil stamp by Stamplorations was stamped on clear acrylic and colored with sharpie pens on the back.  The flower was fussy cut. The flower base was colored with distress paints.

I love that birthdays are wonderful times to honor the birthday person and reflect on the special gifts that they share and how they enrich our lives.

Thanks to the MMCC team for a great theme and sharing wonderful inspiration.

Hope you have great creative moments!
Jan

  1. Very pretty! I like the pretty vellum panel and the vibrant look of the stickles against that background. The flower stamp is so pretty and it is an interested touch for it to be on acrylic so you can see how it looks against the various backgrounds.
